Installing a decal requires careful preparation and attention to detail to ensure a smooth and successful application. Installing a decal can be challenging at times, specially if the design or fonts is too fine. To get the decal, perfectly placed on the surface Aarna Kraft recommends rubbing the decal with a credit card before peeling off the backing paper and to rub it with a credit card before peeling it off from the surface you had put it on.
Step 1
Wipe clean the window or the surface you wish to apply the decal with a mild cleaner. Allow to dry.
Step 2
Secondly, carefully peel off the backing layer from the decal. (Only the vinyl and the clear transfer layer should remain).
IF the decal isn’t sticking to transfer layer, lay the transfer layer back on the backing layer and rub it firmly with credit card until all the vinyl comes up on the transfer layer.
Step 3
Align and place your decal on the window. Use a credit card to rub and smooth the decal onto the window and free of any air bubble.
Step 4
Now remove the clear transfer layer by peeling it off starting from the corner. (Only the vinyl decal should remail).
IF the decal isn’t sticking to surface, lay the transfer layer on the surface and rub it firmly with a credit card until all the vinyl sticker to the surface.
Allow time to cure and let the decal sit undisturbed for at least 24-48 hours to allow the adhesive to fully cure and bond with the surface. Avoid washing or exposing the decal to extreme weather conditions during this time.
By following these steps and taking your time during the installation process, you can ensure a professional-looking and long-lasting decal.
